I want to tell you a quick story from one of my clients in 2019.

She had just received a beautiful painting I had made of her cats, after taking a long moment to really experience the piece, she asked me to wrap it up for her for take home, and thanked me again. After I gave her back her piece all wrapped up I asked her a question that stumped her. "So what's next?"

She looked puzzled for a moment, then there was a glint in her eye. and she looked up the me and told me about her first dog. One that she had lost over 20 years ago. this dog was an absolute best friend to her, and was with her during some of the hardest parts of her life. 

She had told me all she had left was an old wrinkled photo (this was way before phone cameras after all). She had shown me the picture on her phone of that photo graph, the colors were faded, there was a bad wrinkle right down the middle of it, it had definitely seen some better days. "Could you paint this?" she had asked. I could really see how much this pet had meant to her.

with a big smile on my face, I told her "I would be honored to make that for you." 

Because I knew one thing...
